Mayweather – Haris’ relationship through the years.
According to multiple sources, Floyd and Josie dated for nearly fifteen years, beginning in the early 1990s and ending in 2005.
However, the two shared a tumultuous relationship. In 2005, Josie, who accused Mayweather Jr. of battery, withdrew her charges. She told the court that she had lied about the incident.
Later, by September 9, 2010, even when they were not together, law enforcement released a lookout notice against “The Money.” Haris accused him of domestic abuse once again. Though arrested the next day, Mayweather paid up $3000 bail for release. But by September 16, further charges of coercion, robbery, and misdemeanors were leveled against “The Best Ever.”
Finally, by December 2011, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was found guilty of the previous year’s charges. He was subsequently sentenced to 90 days imprisonment, which commenced on June 1, 2012. He was out of jail by August 3.
Josie Haris once told USA Today in 2014 that there were six instances of the boxer beating her. The one that occurred in 2010 was the worst.
Last year, Floyd Mayweather Jr. wished Haris on her birth anniversary with a message, “Heavenly Happy Birthday Josie! There’s not a day I don’t think about you.”
He even shared a pic of her resting place, decorated with a “Happy Birthday” cutout and flowers.
